I just wanted to to take a moment to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for the incredible Shabbos and weekend that Tamar had at the retreat. She came back with tons of great stories and made what seems to be many nice friends. I can't thank you enough for working with us to make this happen.

I went to the retreat and it was really, really amazing!! The activities were fun, the booklets and stories inspiring. Probably the thing I liked best were the girls and the counselors. I really felt that they were sincere in their friendliness--and they were lots of fun! I really think if brought many Jewish girls closer together.

Jewish Girls Retreat is the most amazing place to spend a summer. There is no way to describe in words the unity, friendship, creativity, learning, adventure, and fun that every day, even every minute, at the retreat is filled with. I never thought I would want to go to the same camp two years in a row, but how could I not spend my summer with the BMC family?! After two summers and a winter at the retreat, I'm convinced there's nothing like it.

The Bat Mitzvah Camp has been a one of a kind experience for my girls--the warmth, excitement and love of being Jewish is the essence of BMC. Even though we've moved to NJ, we travel to the Capital area to participate in the camp and club events. The sensitivity and nurturance for each girl's unique needs and character is extraordinary. The level of organization, attention to detail and professionalism by the administrators and staff is evident by the great trips, programs and workshops that are available. No matter where you fall on the religious spectrum.....this camp is an amazing Jewish experience to give to your child.

The Jewish Girls Retreat is a wonderful extension to the Bat Mitzvah Club International™ program. The Bat Mitzvah Overnight Camp is a professional and exciting educational experience for girls. It immerses Jewish girls in a 24-hour Bat Mitzvah Club for three weeks, imbuing them with Jewish values by actually living Jewishly while having lots of summer fun. We highly recommend the Bat Mitzvah Camp. We regard Nechama Laber as one of our star club leaders! She has the unique ability to convey deep concepts in Torah and Chassidut and make them relevant to the girls’ daily lives, inspiring them with her own enthusiasm.
Rabbi Avraham and Nechama are giving Jewish girls the tools to become proud and confident Jewish women. Currently, Nechama’s creative lessons are being published by Bat Mitzvah Clubs International™ for leaders’ use worldwide.

After working in Bat Mitzvah camp for over 3 summers, many people ask me “Is it that good!?! To which I reply, “It’s not good... it’s unbelievable, amazing, and a one of a kind place to be”. Bat Mitzvah Camp isn’t just an ordinary summer camp, it’s a family! Every child that comes to BMC doesn’t just belong to her individual bunk and individual counselor but she becomes part of the family as a whole. This camp is about having real fun, making true friends and becoming a mature young woman with the guidelines that will assist one for the rest of ones life.

Our daughter Joni has had wonderful experiences at Bat Mitzvah Camp and Bat Mitzvah Club. She has met and made friends with different Jewish girls that come from all levels of observance and different schools. It has been a great opportunity to interact with girls that she would not have otherwise met.
Libby Zucker, mother of Joni

The BMC program has given my daughter such a positive outlook on her feelings of being Jewish. It really brings out the “fun” and inspiring parts of Judaism for her. No matter what differences there are in the group, Nechama is able to find a common thread for everyone so that each child feels at home.

Bat Mitzvah Camp was wonderful for our daughter. All summer long, I watched as she played and learned with equal enthusiasm. I can hardly say enough about the counselors and their genuine love of the girls as well as for what they are doing. Camp Director Nechama Laber is truly committed to helping girls of this age grow internally and connect with Judaism intrinsically.

One of the great things about BMC is the positive role models that my daughters look up to and grow to love.

I love BMC because there is so much unity and self respect. Everyone is so nicea nd I have learned a lot from everyone. If it weren't for my best friend, Nechamie, who brought me to BMC, I wouldn't have known the feeling of being loved and respected.

I have been going to BMC since I was 10 years old. Camp is like one big family and we are all close. We are taught how it is to be a Jewish woman and that each mitzvah is very important.

Successfully heading the local Bat Mitzvah club for girls for many years, Mrs. Nechama Laber has developed a highly nurturing program where every camper is a star. Mrs. Laber transmits Torah, Chassidus and Women’s issues with dynamo and enthusiasm. She makes the noble mission of every Jewish girl very exciting and relevant. Taking personal interest in each girl, Nechama develops leadership and poise in the young girls by building up their self image and esteem.

I have had the honor of working with Nechama Laber at her Bat Mitzvah Club & Camp.Through her interactive and thought provoking lessons, Nechama has been able to instill confidence and pride among the Bat Mitzvah girls. She has earned the confidence of many families affiliated with other Jewish movements in the Capital District, as well. As a result, she has been successful in attracting a diverse group of students from far and wide.
I have had 16 years of experience teaching in New York State's public school system. I have observed many professionals who work with children and I want you to know that Nechama is truly one of the most gifted teachers/administrators, I have seen in a long time. She is compassionate, genuine and sincere.
